Our Journey
A Little something about us

EF Precision, Inc. founded in 1977 by Ernie Farabella. The start-up began in a small building where Ernie worked doing set up and machining along with several other machinists. He began to grow the business by manufacturing, medical components and semiconductor products and finding some success in the so-called “early years”.

In the early 1980’s Ernie hired Stu Kellerman as the sales arm of the business. The company once again saw growth and with Stu’s well established network, he became an integral cog to the success of the company. Business growth necessitated moving into a larger facility, hence the company relocated to its current facility in Willow Grove in the late 1980’s.

Through this partnership, a new entity, Precision Assembly, Inc. was added into the fold, and the business saw significant growth from semiconductor, aerospace, defense, and medical industries. As electromechanical assembly and custom designed equipment were added to the list of capabilities, the company continued to flourish. Significant yet strategic investments were made in CNC machinery, employees and infrastructure. Semiconductor was reaching its heights as well, and this was a major contributor to the business growth. The business grew from $3.8 million annual revenue in 1993 to its all-time high in 1997 of $42.5 million dollars with 115 employees. It was through great leadership, tenacity, and employee engagement, teamwork and business relationships that shepherded The EF Precision Group through that epoch.

Semiconductor began the move to overseas in the late 1990’s and as business challenges were beginning another cycle, it seemed the more difficult the challenge, the more EFPG excelled. The need for a business model change in the late 1990’s, early 2000’s were paramount for sustainability in that very difficult market. It took a few years to fully engage the new business direction, a more diverse customer base, and utilize new networks and relationships. From that point in time the company took a more strategic approach and began to align the goals and objectives with specific industries, customers and scope of work. This targeted approach continued to develop into greater technical experience, a vertically integrated manufacturing offering and enhancement of the engineering support offerings. Rounding out all these objectives was the registration and maintenance of all the necessary industry quality certifications.

The EF Precision Group’s axiom “Attitude Is Everything” is integrated into the business philosophy and imbedded in the business fiber. The high-risk parts and assemblies that are manufactured by us tell a story about our business aptitude and the deep-rooted culture of the parts and assemblies that we build every day. From inception to present day, when business climates changed, EFPG transformed, defining our business as it is today: a Consultative Manufacturing Organization: A practice focused on proactive client interaction, collaborating with clearly defined consultative principles, for the solitary purpose of building, sustaining and enriching long-term total customer satisfaction. Attitude Is Everything! The EF Precision Group is here for the duration and will continue to create, innovate and redefine the manufacturing stereotype.
